surgery....check

this morning elle had tubes put in her ears. she did absolutely wonderful! It was over before I knew it. it was difficult handing her off to the nurse and hearing her scream, but i held myself together and made my way back out into the waiting room. it wasn't 15 minutes later that Dr. Ence came out and said it was over and everything went really well! I went back to see her 5 minutes later. She looked like a little rag doll as her legs and arms just kind of dangled in the nurses arms.
we were in at 7 and out by 9. it is amazing that they could do it that fast. i was anticipating much worse.

before we handed elle to the nurses, we played in the little toy room and read some books.

she simply did not want that name tag on her ankle.
after we got home elle took a 3 hour nap and so far she seems pretty close to normal!
also, my mom came out her, even though she was just out here a week and a half ago! she is simply amazing! Thanks mom!

Aww...it's so sad to see her in that tiny little hospital gown (but cute in a way)! What a trooper!

Monica, glad to hear it all went well. And you were one brave mommy!

Both of my boys have had tubes in their ears, and the tubes are so worth it- I was really nervous at the beginning, but its so much easier to tell when they have an ear ache (if any) now, and you can rest easy their ear drums aren't going to rupture.

Hope she continues to recovery well! We're thinking about you guys!
