this is how we watch tv
we bought elle a stroller for her 1st birthday. apparently she needs it to enjoy some cartoons in the morning.
self feeding
elle is a very independent little girl and is always on the go...it shouldn't surprise me that she has to feed herself. it is an entertaining process to watch, to say the least. below is a typical dinner...
elle - fantastic, mom let me have my spoon!

mbaa closing social
tonight was the mbaa closing social. we had such a good time! my dear friend christi and i showed up in matching outfits. though normally i call before all activities and coordinate my outfits to match my friends, this time i did not and we still showed up look like twins.

**i only had my cell phone on me, hence the quality of the picture. and no..i am NOT pregnant, even though the picture suggests i am...just a few pounds over what the wii fit considers obese.

surgery....check
this morning elle had tubes put in her ears. she did absolutely wonderful! It was over before I knew it. it was difficult handing her off to the nurse and hearing her scream, but i held myself together and made my way back out into the waiting room. it wasn't 15 minutes later that Dr. Ence came out and said it was over and everything went really well! I went back to see her 5 minutes later. She looked like a little rag doll as her legs and arms just kind of dangled in the nurses arms.
we were in at 7 and out by 9. it is amazing that they could do it that fast. i was anticipating much worse.
before we handed elle to the nurses, we played in the little toy room and read some books.

a week with grandparents!
This week my mom and james came to visit. elle LOVES her nonnie (pronounced naw-nie) and pop!
elle realized that if someone was in the bathroom she could get their attention by shoving her fingers underneath the door.
we went on a hike (walk) to Bridal Veil Falls, the sign said it was still closed until the end of March, but we went ahead and took our chances. there was only one icy patch, but we made it through.
the falls
james, elle and mom
james let elle touch the FREEZING water! and of course she loved it. she needs to touch everything.
we tried to get cute pictures of elle sitting on rocks and tree stumps, but she doesn't exactly like to smile for the camera
case in point.
and this is the sign that said NOT to walk to the falls...
We went to the Walter Wick exhibit at the BYU Museum of Art. He has done some amazing things!
